Scales vs Measuring


...I used to convert from mass to measure


Interesting videos on the topic of whether you should measure ingredients (cups, tablespoons, teaspoons) or measure (grams, ounces).

I always thought weighing was much more tedious and, consequently, used to convert recipe masses to measurements, so I could use my trusty cups and measuring spoon set.

As it turns out, if you have a digital scale, which I now do but only seldom used to use, it's not only quicker to weigh (by zeroing the scale with each added ingredient) but it's much more accurate and causes less mess.


I found these videos by ChefSteps both fascinating and amusing...
